Pop-Up at the Pavilion

Saturday, July 20th, 10 to 4

I hope to see everyone at this art show and sale in Villa Park, adjacent to the Villa Park Historical Museum at 220 S. Villa Avenue.  The Pavilion is right along the Illinois Prairie Path, near downtown Villa Park, and there’s plenty of parking.

I’ll be showing and selling paintings from my Whimsy series, which are all 12 x 12 inches and framed in either white or black.

There will be 35 to 50 artists from Studio 630 and we’re looking forward to a fun and art-filled day.  So do plan on joining us!

Another New Venture

I’ve decided to enter the on-line auction market.  Just posted my first piece this evening.  Whoever bids is likely to get a real bargain, although it was bargain-priced in the first place at only $90, plus S&H.  But the opening bid is now only $45, with a “buy it now” option of $75.00.  “Peaches,” acrylic, 10 x 10.  This is one of my first paintings in acrylic.  It was a learning experience, since acrylic paints don’t immediately lend themselves to subtle shadings or  a lot of blending.  But I think I got the hang of it pretty quickly.Image

Selling Art On Line

I have decided to sell my smaller still life paintings direct to collectors on line, through DailyPaintWorks.com.  It seems like a good way to reach a wider audience than I could through just one or two brick and mortar galleries.  This is going to keep me pretty busy, keeping up with at least 1 new painting each week.  It’s a nice challenge, though, and I hope to be able to meet it.
